April 2023 Newsletter: Project Tags and Pinning a Comment
We know many of you may have heard from us recently regarding new features, but we have even more to share with you today! We've compiled all of the recent releases here so you can easily catch up — read on for all of our updates below.
What's New
- Projects
- Pin a particular comment from an item's comment list to the top for easy reference.
- Project tags to classify, organize, and filter projects with colorful, descriptive labels.
- Show more or fewer periods on the Gantt chart.
- Move files from one task/project to another within the Files tab of the Project/Task trays.
- See request details when creating a new project from a request.
- Time Tracking - Administrators and Managers will be able to pin tasks to other users' timesheets.
- "Me" option in the responsible menus will now include the user name.
- Boards
- Add multiple cards at once.
- Subscribe users to lists to trigger notifications when cards are added or moved to a list.
- Assign cards to user groups.
- Other
- Approvals - New multi-function approvals button including options to batch request, respond to, and close approvals from the files view.
- Approvals - New approval status icon on file list to show count of approved, not approved, or pending responses.
- Rich text formatting and @mentions are now available in comments on mobile.
What We're Working On / Exploring Now [target release]
- Custom Reports refresh. We’re overhauling the interface so that it’s consistent with the rest of Workzone, particularly with respect to how filters work. This also allows us to add in filters for the dates of time entries and dates of work. [May, Enterprise license required]
- Boards reporting. We continue to invest in enhancing Boards functionality. Upcoming enhancements will include reporting on new card assignments and completed cards. Let us know if you have a board-related report that you’d like to see. [May/Jun]
