Importing and Exporting Request Forms

NOTE: Custom Project Request Forms referenced in this article is an optional add-on to Workzone. For details on adding this feature if you don't have it already, please email help@workzone.com.

Importing and exporting custom request forms provides a way to share custom forms from one Workzone site to another, which can be useful for some teams that are getting starting with setting up their request forms, or if an organization has more than one Workzone site.

These actions are performed from the Custom Forms page that lists existing forms. Administrators can access this page by clicking the settings (gear icon) in the top right when viewing All Workspaces and selecting Custom forms from the left side under the REQUESTS section, as seen here:

Importing

To import a form, click the three vertical dots (⋮) at the top, found to the right of the Add Custom Form button, and then click the Import form option that appears, as seen here:

Next, you can click the Browse button on the right and select the (.json) file you previously received/created from it's location on your device, and then click the Import button:

Afterwards, the imported form will be listed in the table on the Custom Forms settings page:

NOTE: Imported forms may need to have details such as recipients and public accessibility specified after importing, and are initially inactive and will need to be enabled for use.

Exporting

To export a form, click the three vertical dots (⋮) to the left of that form's name on the Custom Forms page, then chose Export form:

You will be prompted to download a (.json) file with name similar to " Workzone_custom_form_XXXXXXXX_XXXX.json", and can then chose where to save the file on your device.
