Project Request Status

When a project request is first submitted, it is given the status “Pending”, meaning that it is awaiting action from a permitted user to change its status to “Accepted”, “Not Accepted” or “Closed”.

Administrators and Managers with access to the workspace can change the status by clicking the title of the request, in the main Requests area, and clicking the edit (pencil) icon in the Overview section of the request's details tray and then selecting the appropriate option from the dropdown menu.

"Accepted" is usually an indication that the project request is understood and the intention is to move ahead with it. Request status can also be updated from the request dashboard by selecting the checkbox to the left of the project request and then clicking the Update Status button.

“Closed” indicates either that the project has been completed and/or the request is no longer needed.

“Not Accepted” is useful to indicate that the project will not be done (communication with the original requester is recommended).

NOTE: When there's a change to the status of a request, the person who originally submitted the request will be sent an email informing them of the status change.

Workzone can also automatically change the status of a request if the request in linked into a project and the linked project is changed to a state of "Closed". To access these settings (as an Administrator) click on the settings (gear icon) in the top right, then click the Other settings line under Requests.
