Out of Office Conflict Report

The Out of Office Conflict report compares your team's scheduled out of office time with their scheduled tasks. Scheduling conflicts can be resolved directly on the report making it easy for project managers to ensure work is assigned to team members when they're available to work on it.

Individual Out of Office Days

Individual users can enter their out of office days on the Out of Office Time page available via the user menu in the top right of the Workzone interface. Any dates entered here will be compared with scheduled tasks on the Out of Office Conflict report (more information on that report below).

To add a new out of office day, click the Add Out Of Office Time button at the top of the page. In the pop-up, enter the date or dates for the out of office time. Out of office time will be one day long by default, but the end date may be changed to create longer time periods. Optionally, enter a description. Descriptions can only be seen by the user entering their time off and are for informational purposes only.

Out of Office Conflict Report

The Out of Office Conflict report, found in the Workload section of the Reports module, will list out any tasks where the scheduled task dates overlap with the scheduled out of office time for the assigned user.

Each row represents a task that has a conflict; if multiple users are assigned to a single task and they each have an out of office conflict, the task will be listed multiple times for each conflict. The "Conflict" column displays the name of the user along with the dates of their scheduled out of office time that presents a conflict with the task. The rest of the columns on the report display the details of the task.

The report can be filtered by project, responsible party, and dates. The "Responsible" filter will filter for the user assigned to the task. The "Dates Spanning" filter will filter for the dates that fall within the scheduled start and end date of the tasks.

Adjustments can be made to the task in the task details tray, accessed by clicking on the name of the task, including reassigning the task or modifying the task dates. As conflicts are resolved, the task rows will fall off of the report, leaving just the list of tasks that still need attention.
